Ever wondered how to correctly read a nutrition label? Or know how to decode all the names for sugar in an ingredient list? I’ll answer these questions & more during my “Supermarket Smarts” group class series. For the final class we’ll actually meet at the supermarket to discuss all your burning questions!
Aug. 13 & 14th: Join us at Food Lion for a walk around the store to have a “hands-on” shopping experience with a nutrition expert! We’ll take a look at nutrition labels, ingredient lists and discuss the best products and ingredients to buy in order to avoid artificial ingredients and excess sugar. Grocery Store Tours/Classes
Do you wish you had more knowledge to pick out affordable, high quality food when you’re doing your weekly grocery shopping? Would you like to understand how to read nutrition labels and ingredient lists? Would you like to cut your shopping time in half?

What Can I Expect?
A grocery store tour is one of my most favorite education opportunities as it provides a hands-on approach to nutrition education, as we are in the actual store, touching, feeling, reading, and discussing food! We’ll walk around the produce section first, discussing what size apples to buy, how to tell when an avocado is ripe and answering all your questions before moving on to the next section of the store. We could literally spend all day discussing each part of the store in depth, so this will be a brief run-through of each section lasting approximately 45-60 minutes. If the group would like to focus on specific areas of the store, we can do that too! You also have the option to schedule a personal tour with only me, so you can get all of your questions answered and save yourself time the next time you grocery shop!
